Staff Description
Our newest single barrel of Bourbon came to be out of a unique opportunity proffered to us over two years ago. First, it was a chance to acquire a special barrel previously used for the elevage of wine from the prestigious Grand Cru vineyard, Clos Vougeot.
More special still, the barrel was used by Francois Labet at Chateau de la Tour. Our admiration for his wines has never been a secret. His vines are perfectly located in the heart of the vineyard and are quite old. Many are well beyond 100 years of age. Labet's wines are incredible, profound, as classic as they come, sturdy as can be, and as close to timeless as possible.
So, of course, we thought it would be quite the opportunity and that we would use this barrel in the finishing of a Bourbon. We would be uniting two worlds that are very important to so many of our friends.
FEW Spirits Description
Born from our quintessential bourbon, a Southern tradition infused with the spiciness of rye and a touch of malt. Raised in French Oak Wine casks from the famed Clos Vougeot region in Burgundy. The region is famous for its nuanced complexity imparting intense flavors of black cherry, cacao, and a true Burgundian finish. This collaboration between the new and old world will transport you to an entirely unique place.
