Francois Labet made a name for himself as one of Burgundy's top producers. His Domanie, Chateau de la Tour, is the not only the largest holder of vines in Clos de Vougeot but he owns some of the Clos' oldest vines too at 100+ years of age. His Île de Beauté Pinot Noir vineyard is perched on granite and schist soils about 1,800 ft. above sea level. Altitude in this climate is the key to growing Pinot Noir as it keeps the wine vibrant and pure.
The wine is a great purchase for everday enjoyment offering great value and a display of deep red fruit with earthy notes along with spice and floral components.The grapes are fully destemmed before pressing and fermentation and aged in 66% stainless steel and 33% French oak.
