Pride Mountain Vineyards was purchased in 1989 by Jim and Carolyn Pride. The winery and vineyards is located on top one of our favorite domestic terroirs for Cabernet Sauvignon, Spring Mountain. It is uniquely positioned, straddling the county line dividing Napa and Sonoma. This quirck forced the Pride family to build what are in essence two wineries with equipment on each side of the county line. The result of separate county regulations and taxing procedures which the Pride family was not aware of this at the time of purchase.
Winemaker, Sally Johnson has been with the winery since 2007 and has earned many well deserved accolades. Her wines are made in a classical way which captures the intensity of of California's sunshine vis a vis a dark fruit profile yet they still remain fresh and vibrant.
