Vietti - Nebbiolo Perbacco Langhe 2021
Vietti's Perbacco Langhe Nebbiolo is one of our favorite wines because it offers tremendous quality and has a very humble price.
At its essence this is a Barolo. Most of the fruit for this wine is from their excellent Barolo sources but a couple of their Barbaresco sites are also included. The vines are an average of 35 years old. Together these wines Offer up generous fruit along with menthol, spices and hard candy, showing notable intensity while retaining an essentially mid-weight style. Strong, intense and powerful when young, complex and elegant with the ageing.

The 2021 Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco is a medium red color and opens with a tightly wound profile, offering spicy aromas of cherries, pine, pepper, and dried orange. Medium-bodied, it has good tension on the palate, with fine tannins and a hint of iron-rich, sanguine earth. It’s going to benefit from another 6 months in bottle, and is a tenser expression of this wine that’s true to the vintage. Drink 2024-2030. 80,000 bottles produced.
