Like other varieties in the Piedmont, Arneis is often in the shadow of the famous Nebbiolo. Ripped out and re-planted in favor of Chardonnay, and others, Bruno was one of two producers that decided to help preserve this areas iconic white in the 1960s. Under the Giacosa label Arneis is treated with the same dignity and respect that others only apply to their Nebbiolos. This is to your benefit because the Giacosa's are famously rigid and uncompromising when it comes to the quality of the wine they make. They coax remarkable freshness and a very lively energy that makes this one delicious and entertaining drink.
