Compact, concise and spiced with berries, warm herbs, forest floor and crushed black pepper aromas. Medium- to full-bodied with fine, firm tannins and crisp acidity. Vivid and crunchy with succulent small berries and sour cherries. It has a transparent character to it at the core and a racy finish with good length.

Dark ruby, the 2020 Barolo Ravera is expressive and leads with mineral-tinged aromas of graphite, raspberry liqueur, sweet flowers, pine, and mossy earth. Medium-bodied, it displays more intensity on the palate, with an elegant but more chiseled feel, ripe tannins, even, energetic acidity, and a mouthwatering finish. It’s going to benefit from another couple years in bottle. (AF)
