This exquisite and sophisticated Merlot opens with aromas of dark cherry, raspberry, and sweet ripe tomato, complemented by floral undertones of lilies, violets, and fallen leaves. The tannins have an elegant density, softened by fresh red fruit acidity and hints of basil, leading to a long and substantial finish with a hint of spice. We found it recently tasting great with just a touch of air.
The Merlot grapes, sourced from cooler sites American Canyon and Carneros vineyards and warmer Yountville vineyard, were blended to create a balanced, complex wine. This blend captures the richness and depth from the warmer climates and the perfume and bright fruitiness from the cooler climates. All of their grapes come from certified organic vineyards and are farmed naturally, adhering to the principles of regenerative agriculture.
