The Humberts have the privilege of cultivating highly esteemed 1er Crus, such as Poissenot which beneficially finds itself adjacent to the trio of St. Jacques; Estournelles, Lavaux, and Clos St. Jacques near the top of the slope and further in the Combe itself. The Humbert's vines were planted in 1998 and 2003.
Adhering to a traditional vinification approach, the Humberts destem grapes and employ a combination of punching down and extended vatting periods. This meticulous process sets the stage for wines that are crafted for aging yet taste great in their (relative) youth.
