Round Table Tasting: Francois Millet et Fils

We're ecstatic to announce a tasting for the wines of Domaine Francois Millet et Fils for the first time in Illinois! While the lineup is not yet known, we know the style of the wines from past visits so we're excited to introduce them to everyone!  Many of you might know Francois and his wines from his prior position at Domaine Georges Comte de Vogue (another long time favorite of ours). This new project of his began in 2017 with his sons and has now morphed into a full time project after he left De Vogue in 2020 after 35 years.

Domaine Francois Millet et Fils focuses on sourcing fruit from lesser-known appellations, highlighting their unique characteristics and bringing them into greater recognition. The operation emphasizes quality over quantity, with plans for gradual expansion depending on the availability of exceptional fruit. The wines exhibit a style rooted in elegance, subtlety, and freshness. As he's known for, Millet crafts wines that shine with energy and remarkable transparency. These wines celebrate a philosophy of lightness and finesse, offering a refined expression of their terroir. We'll have the following wines open to taste:
