The Bressandes parcel, located north of Beaune, enjoys a good exposure in middle of the slope with a south-easterly orientation. Its soil enjoys a good balance of limestone, loams and clay.. The vineyard takes its name for its owner in the 13th century, Johannis Bressand. Clean iron-like minerality stands out. Fresh blue fruit, fuller. Grippyfinishing with a strong sense of morello cherries.
Domaine Bernard Dubois, nestled in the charming village of Chorey-Les Beaune, is a petite estate covering a mere 7 hectares.
Our visit to the Domaine in January 2020 revealed wines of incredible textures and minerality. Clean, cool brambly fruit notes joined with in the glass, creating wines that are very easy to enjoy now or later.
Guiding this family-owned winery into its fifth generation is the skilled steward and winemaker, Jacques Dubois. Jacques proudly carries forward his family's time-honored tradition of crafting wines that truly reflect the essence of their vineyards.
Its vineyards, perched at high altitudes, are farmed with an approach of minimal intervention and sustainable farming.
Within the cellars, the winemaking process is marked by destemmed fruit fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak followed by an aging process in oak barrels.
The fruits of this dedication are nothing short of extraordinary. The wines produced by Domaine Bernard Dubois are uncompromising expressions of terroir, imbued with a captivating mineral focus and a profound clarity that resonates with wine enthusiasts seeking depth and refinement.
