Milam & Greene is a young company, and although they augment their whiskey stocks with sourced barrels from Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee, the heart and soul of their lineup remains proudly Texan. Their Triple Cask starts with their own two-year-old bourbon made with Texas corn, and marries it with 4-year-old and 11-year-old Tennessee bourbons for an elegant, rounded, beautifully balanced whiskey. The brash spice and grain notes of the young bourbon are tamed here, building to a soft and fruit-forward finish on the palate. Perfect on its own, at 94 proof this whiskey still holds up well on ice.
